Yes, Linktree is free. As of October 19, 2026, its pricing page lists a Free plan at $0 a month. Linktree labels it "Free with restrictions." Free gives you unlimited links, email and phone sign-ups, a QR code and 28 days of analytics. Some things cost money: removing the Linktree footer, scheduling links, most detailed analytics, and selling digital products.

This guide covers what the $0 plan includes and leaves out, the fees and country limits if you plan to earn, and when Free is enough. Deciding whether to upgrade? See our Linktree Free vs Pro guide.

Linktree's plans and prices

Linktree has four self-serve plans. Its help center (updated October 12, 2026) describes "a Free plan with unlimited links, plus Starter, Pro, and Premium plans." The pricing page showed the prices below on October 19, 2026, in US dollars. Prices may differ in your country or in the app, so check the price you're shown before paying.

Plan Billed annually Billed monthly What the pricing card adds
Free $0 $0 "Unlimited basic links", "Email and phone sign-ups"
Starter $6/mo $8/mo "Personalized Linktree", "Unlimited featured links", "Basic analytics"
Pro $12/mo $15/mo "Remove Linktree branding", "Custom designs", "Sell and earn with 0% fees", "Mailing list integrations"
Premium $30/mo $35/mo "Link rules and routing", "AI integrations", "All-time analytics", "Data export", "Social media scheduling", "Unlimited Instagram auto-replies"

Pro and Premium show a "Try free for 7 days" button. Starter does not. Agencies and enterprises get custom pricing through a contact form.

What Linktree Free includes

The plan card lists two items, but the feature table lower on the same pricing page shows more. As of October 19, 2026, it marks these as included on Free:

  • Unlimited links. "We don't put a limit on the number of links you can add to your Linktree."
  • One featured link. Paid plans get unlimited featured links.
  • Email and phone number collection, plus a contact form. Linktree shows each sign-up's details in your account.
  • A QR code for your Linktree.
  • Free themes, wallpaper colors, link thumbnails and icons, social icons, and your own profile image, title and bio.
  • Many link apps and embeds: videos from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, Vimeo and Facebook, music links, Google Maps, Calendly, Typeform, FAQs, discount codes, Link Collections and an Instagram grid.
  • Link Lock for age verification or a sensitive content warning on individual links.
  • Instagram auto-replies, capped at 1,000 sends a month.
  • Basic tr.ee short links.
  • Insights with 28 days of history, lifetime totals and social insights.
  • The Linktree mobile app, multi-factor authentication and email support (48-hour response time on Free).

Visitors can also message you through Linktree for free. Linktree's September 29 launch post says "Messaging, including Spotlight and Stacks, is free for all Linkers."

What about analytics?

The pricing card lists "Basic analytics" as a Starter addition, which could suggest Free has none. It does have analytics. Linktree's Insights help article says the Free plan can "Access analytics for the last 28 days." The October 2026 release notes say "Insights and data answers come free with your account."

The difference is how much detail you get. The pricing table marks Individual Link Insights as Starter and up, referrer, location and device insights as Pro and up, and data export as Premium only. (The Insights help article describes a Visitors section with traffic sources, locations and devices without naming a plan, so Free may show a summary.) History grows with each plan: 28 days on Free, 90 on Starter, 365 on Pro and lifetime on Premium. Linktree's paid features article (updated October 14, 2026) gives the same numbers.

What Free doesn't include

These are the "restrictions." Each row shows the cheapest plan that includes the feature, according to Linktree's pricing table on October 19, 2026.

Feature Cheapest plan with it
Schedule links to go live and disappear Starter
Redirect your whole Linktree to one URL Starter
Unlimited featured links, collection layouts Starter
Per-link insights Starter
Custom tr.ee short links, QR code customization Starter
Profile verification badge Starter
Hide the Linktree footer Pro
Password and Code Lock on links Pro
Auto-display your latest YouTube video Pro
Advanced themes, video wallpapers, header layouts Pro
Referrer, location and device insights Pro
UTM parameters, Google Analytics, Facebook Conversion API Pro
SEO title and description Pro
Email integrations (Mailchimp, Google Sheets, Kit, Klaviyo) Pro
Analytics data export Premium
Rules (show or hide links by visitor location or referrer) Premium
A custom domain Not offered on any plan

Linktree's custom domain article (updated October 12, 2026) says "Linktree doesn't support custom domains." Your page stays at linktr.ee/yourusername on every plan.

Free also has smaller caps. The paid features article limits Free to 3 images in an Image Gallery and 5 questions in an FAQs link. It also lists "Subscriber downloads" (a CSV of your subscribers) under Pro and Premium, so exporting your list or syncing it to an email tool takes a paid plan. The same article lists collecting phone numbers under Pro and Premium, although the pricing page includes phone sign-ups on Free.

Fees if you sell or earn

Linktree Free doesn't charge a subscription. If you sell through Linktree, fees apply per sale. Linktree's fees article (updated October 12, 2026) describes two kinds:

  • Transaction fees go to Linktree, and "The fee depends on your Linktree plan."
  • Processing fees go to Stripe and apply on every plan. Direct sales cost "2.9% + $0.30 per purchase." Partner earnings cost "$0.25 per payout."

For partner earnings (Shops, sponsored links and affiliate offers), Linktree's cut is "A percentage of the commission you earn," already factored into the commission it shows you. The article doesn't name the percentage.

The pricing page's fee table showed these per-sale fees on October 19:

Free Starter Pro Premium
Courses 12% 9% 9% 0%
Digital products 12% 9% 9% 0%

Linktree's own pages don't fully agree here. The Pro card says "Sell and earn with 0% fees," but the table shows 9% for Pro. The table also lists a fee for Free, while the Earn requirements article (updated October 14, 2026) says "Selling digital products also needs a Pro or Premium plan." Before you price a product, check which fee your account actually shows.

Country limits

Your location determines what you can earn, even on a paid plan. According to the Earn requirements article, as of October 14, 2026:

  • Direct earnings (digital products, courses and Bookings) work in 35 listed countries. These include Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Switzerland, Norway and most EU countries.
  • Partner earnings (Linktree Shops, sponsored links and affiliate opportunities) are "available to Linkers based in the United States."
  • Linktree Rewards is also United States only.

If your country isn't on the list, Linktree says you can still share free digital products.

When Linktree Free is enough

Free is probably enough if:

  • You need a simple list of links, with no link limit and a QR code for print.
  • You want to collect emails or phone numbers and are happy to view them inside Linktree.
  • 28 days of totals is enough analytics for you.
  • The Linktree footer doesn't bother you.
  • You want visitors to message you. Messaging is free, and so are 1,000 Instagram auto-replies a month.
  • You don't need a custom domain. No Linktree plan offers one anyway.

You'll probably outgrow Free if you need to schedule links, see where clicks come from, use UTM tracking or Google Analytics, sell digital products or hide the footer. Our Linktree Free vs Pro guide covers that decision.

We make ManyLinks. Here's a plain comparison of the two free plans. The ManyLinks upgrade page lists unlimited links and blocks, every block type, analytics for the last 30 days, one deep link and a QR code for your page, with ManyLinks branding shown.

Linktree Free ManyLinks Free
Links Unlimited Unlimited links and blocks
Layout Links with 1 featured link; grid and carousel collections from Starter Grid of blocks in several sizes
Analytics history 28 days 30 days
Traffic source, country and device breakdowns Listed from Pro Included
Email and phone sign-ups Included Not offered
Visitor messaging Included Not offered
Selling Digital products need Pro or Premium; Shops and sponsored links US only Not offered
Branding Linktree footer shown ManyLinks branding shown
QR code Included Included
Custom domain Not on any plan Pro

Linktree Free includes email and phone sign-ups, visitor messaging and a wider range of link apps and integrations. ManyLinks has no sign-up form, no inbox and no checkout, so it doesn't cover those uses.

Where ManyLinks Free may suit you better:

  • Analytics. The 30-day dashboard breaks down page views by referrer, country, device, browser and language. Linktree's pricing table lists referrer, location and device insights from Pro. Our analytics guide explains how to read them.
  • Layout. Your page is a grid of different-sized blocks, so it isn't a plain list. Social blocks show live profile data, refreshed every 7 days on Free and every 24 hours on Pro.
  • Deep links. You get one on Free, for a destination like YouTube or Spotify to open in its app where the device supports it. See our deep links guide.

ManyLinks Pro costs €10.82 a month or €99.99 a year as of October 19, 2026. It removes the branding, adds unlimited analytics history, UTM campaign reports, scheduled and password-protected blocks, unlimited deep links and a custom domain.

ManyLinks can't import a Linktree page. If you move, you rebuild the page by hand and update your bio links. Keep your old Linktree live for anyone who saved the old address. Our guide on switching from Linktree covers the steps.

The short answer

Linktree is free, and its Free plan works for a basic link list. It has a visible footer, 28-day analytics without source breakdowns, no scheduling or exports, and selling only on paid plans in supported countries. Check prices and fees in your own account, because Linktree's pages don't all agree. If you'd like a free grid page with more analytics detail, you can try ManyLinks Free.
