Tap Bio Is Shutting Down on October 31: How to Move Your Page
Tap Bio closes on October 31, 2026. Compare your options, including Link in Profile and the ManyLinks importer, and move your page step by step.
Tap Bio is closing. Its own message is direct: "We're winding down Tap Bio. Your service continues until Oct 31, 2026." You can read it on Tap Bio's public page, which also links to an official FAQ with further details.
If a tap.bio link appears in your Instagram bio, on a business card or on your YouTube channel, you have a few weeks to create a new page and replace it. This guide explains what is known, the practical choices, and how to move to ManyLinks with its Tap Bio importer. Details about Tap Bio below are current as of October 2, 2026.
What Tap Bio has said, and what it hasn't
| Question | What the sources say |
|---|---|
| When does service end? | "Your service continues until Oct 31, 2026" (announcement) |
| Is there an export button? | The FAQ documents no export feature |
| Automatic migration? | To Link in Profile, the FAQ says they are "currently exploring technical options" and asks interested users to fill out a form |
| Will tap.bio links redirect? | Neither source says so |
Assume your tap.bio page and link will stop working after October 31. Make your plans on that basis, and consider any better outcome a bonus.
Your three options
Option 1: Link in Profile, Tap Bio's recommended path
The announcement advertises 50% off Link in Profile with codes TB50M (monthly) and TB50Y (yearly). According to the FAQ, Link in Profile costs $9.99 per month or $99 per year, with Tap Bio customers paying $4.99 per month or $49.50 for the first year.
Know how the service works. The FAQ says Link in Profile "is very similar to the Tap Bio Instagram Links Card" and adds that "there are no 'cards' or different page types on Link in Profile as there are Tap Bio." Its landing page displays Instagram posts that contain links, either as a list or grid. Add URLs in your post captions or through its dashboard.
For a page used mainly for the Instagram Links card, this is the closest fit and it comes from a familiar team. A page built with Links cards, galleries, a YouTube card and a mailing list signup would need to be recreated in another format.
Option 2: ManyLinks, with the Tap Bio importer
ManyLinks is a bento-style link-in-bio page made of blocks you can resize and rearrange in a grid. Social blocks can display live profile data. There is a free plan and a Pro plan, detailed on the upgrade page.
The importer reads your public tap.bio page and rebuilds its cards as blocks. You can begin with your existing content instead of a blank page, and the importer does not need your Tap Bio password.
There are some limits: ManyLinks has no built-in email signup form, checkout or booking, allows one page per account, and has no Instagram "posts with links" grid like Link in Profile. The Mailchimp signup will link to Mailchimp's signup page.
Option 3: Rebuild by hand somewhere else
You can use any link-in-bio tool by copying your links over yourself. That can suit a small page or someone who has already chosen a tool. The Linktree alternatives roundup compares the leading options, while what is a link in bio explains the basics. Keep a copy of your page first: Tap Bio has no export button, which makes your manual record the backup.
Which fits you
| If your Tap Bio page was mostly... | Closest fit |
|---|---|
| The Instagram Links card | Link in Profile |
| Links cards, galleries, YouTube, social buttons | ManyLinks importer, or a manual rebuild |
| A handful of links | Any tool, rebuilt by hand |
| An email signup you depend on | Any tool that links to your Mailchimp form, or one with its own form |
How to move your Tap Bio page to ManyLinks
The importer works only while your Tap Bio page is online, so do this before October 31.
Before you start
- Confirm the page is public. Open your tap.bio link in a private browser window. The importer reads what a signed-out visitor can see. Hidden cards are not public; Tap Bio's FAQ explains how to publish cards with the eye icon.
- Write down your username. Find it after
tap.bio/@in your link. - Make a copy anyway. A list of your links and screenshots takes ten minutes and gives you a backup. See how to save your Tap Bio page.
Run the import
- New to ManyLinks: create your account. After signup, the Bring your page with you window opens on your new page with Tap Bio selected. Continue at step 4.
- Already have an account: sign in and open your page in the editor. If it is a new page, select Import my data under your profile. Or open the settings (gear) menu and select Import data.
- In the Import Profile window, choose Tap Bio.
- Type your username beside
tap.bio/@. You can also paste the full tap.bio link. - Select your options:
- Import profile info brings your name, bio and avatar over from Tap Bio.
- Override current page first removes your existing ManyLinks blocks. Leave it unchecked to keep those blocks and add the imported ones.
- Select Continue, check the summary, then select Start Import (the button says Override & Import if you chose to override).
At completion, the importer reports the number of blocks brought over and whether it updated your profile. If it skipped buttons, the message gives you the count.
A few limits to know:
- After an import succeeds, the Import option is removed from your account. Check that the Tap Bio page contains everything you need before starting.
- You can run three import attempts per day.
- Each import transfers up to 120 blocks.
What comes over
| Tap Bio card | On ManyLinks |
|---|---|
| Profile card | Name, title and bio, avatar; social buttons become social blocks at the top; your website becomes a link block |
| Links card | A title block, a text block, and one link block per button |
| Simple card | A text block plus its buttons as link blocks |
| YouTube card | A YouTube channel block with recent videos |
| Image gallery card | One image block per photo, with its caption and link |
| Twitter card | An X profile block |
| Mailing list card | A link block to your Mailchimp signup page |
Social blocks display live information such as follower counts. Data is cached, then refreshed every 7 days on Free and every 24 hours on Pro.
What does not come over
- Instagram Links card posts. In ManyLinks' tests, Tap Bio's Instagram feed failed to load for most pages. If the importer can read the Instagram username, it adds an Instagram block. Otherwise, add one yourself.
- Email, phone and text-message buttons. Link blocks support web links only. Put an email address in a text block or link to a contact form.
- Colors, background images and gradients. Choose your styling again in ManyLinks.
- Tap Bio analytics and click history. Take screenshots of any figures you want to retain.
- Facebook pixel and Google Analytics IDs. ManyLinks offers tracking pixels on Pro; enter your IDs again there.
- Mailing list subscribers. Your subscribers remain in Mailchimp.
- The Discover card and Tap Bio's own promo cards. The importer skips these.
What to check after importing
- Set up the grid. Blocks keep the order from Tap Bio: small social icons at the top, wide links and a large YouTube block. Drag and resize them until the page is easy to follow.
- Review the mobile layout on its own. Most visitors will view the page on a phone.
- Test every link while signed out. Older pages can have dead links. Repair them now.
- Add what is missing. Put in an Instagram block if it did not transfer, along with contact details for any skipped buttons.
- Restore tracking if needed. On Pro, enter your Meta Pixel or Google Analytics ID under Tracking pixels. First, check your privacy obligations.
- Replace the old link. Your new address is
manylinks.io/yourname, or your own domain on Pro. Change it in every bio, signature, ad and printed code. The leaving Tap Bio checklist covers common places to look.
To keep control of the address if you change vendors again, read about using a custom domain. For a direct comparison, see ManyLinks as a Tap Bio alternative.
